COLLABORATION WITH ZANDRA RHODES

TO CREATE A NEW CREATIVE OUTLET AND BRAND WITHIN THE GREATER ZANDRA RHODES BRAND, DESIGNING AND PLANNING A PRODUCT AIMED TOWARDS A FUTURE AUDIENCE.





“OLFACTORY”

ENCAPSULATES HER IMAGE WITHIN THE OVERALL IDEA.

UTILISING ZANDRA’S USE OF SENSORY BASED INSPIRATION, MANY OF WHICH WERE INSPIRED BY HER TRAVELS AND ITEMS SHE DISPLAYS IN HER MUSEUM.






LIVING ROOM COLLECTION OF POTTERY

THE BOTTLE DESIGN ITSELF CAME FROM THE VARIOUS POTTERY DESIGNS THAT ZANDRA HAS. SHE HAS WORKED CLOSELY WITH SOME OF THE MOST CREATIVE POTTERY DESIGNERS AND SCULPTORS IN THE UK AND SO THE USE OF MORE ABSTRACT DESIGNS WITH FLORAL IMAGERY SERVED AS A BASIS FOR THE FINAL BOTTLE DESIGN.







“ISSEY MIYAKE’S LILY”

TAKING THE INSPIRATION OF ZANDRA’S ‘TOKYO LILY’ PRINT.  THIS WAS CHOSEN BECAUSE OF MY JAPANESE BACKGROUND AND THE PRINT WAS A GIFT FROM ISSEY MIYAKE, AN INSPIRATION OF MINE.  THE BOTTLE DESIGN IS INSPIRED BY POTTER KATE MALONE WHO IS ZANDRA’S FRIEND AND JAPANESE TRADITIONAL SWEET “LILY” SO THAT 
EMPHASISE ARTISTIC OF THE PERFUME. CONTRARY TO ZANDRA RHODES, WHO USES MANY COLORS, THE COLORS WERE DESIGNED WITH BLACK AS THE BASE COLOR, BECAUSE PHYSICS TELLS US THAT MIXING CYAN, MAGENTA, AND YELLOW PRODUCES BLACK.
